Midland G9 PRO is a feature-rich walkie talkie designed for outdoor users, families, leisure groups and anyone who needs flexible short-range communication. It supports both PMR446 and LPD operation, with an extended PMR446 frequency range and up to 32 PMR446 channels depending on setup.

This walkie talkie is built for practical everyday communication. It can be used for talking between users on the same channel, scanning for active channels, monitoring weak signals, using CTCSS or DCS privacy-style tones, and keeping track of activity using its large LCD display. The display shows useful status information including channel, battery level, VOX, keypad lock, Dual Watch, transmit and receive status.

One of the main advantages of the Midland G9 PRO is its Dual PTT system. The larger PTT button can be used with the selected high or low power setting, while the smaller Boost PTT can transmit at high power when required. This allows users to conserve battery during short-range use, while still having extra transmit power available when needed.

The Midland G9 PRO also includes several useful safety and convenience features. The emergency call function can switch compatible G9 PRO units within range to the emergency channel, while Manual Out-of-Range lets users check whether other units are still reachable. It also includes VOX hands-free operation with TalkBack, VibraCALL silent alert, Dual Watch, keypad lock, roger beep, call tones, monitor function and automatic power save.
