The XT50 helps you stay in touch when mobile signal is unreliable or when quick push-to-talk communication is more convenient. Range will vary depending on terrain, buildings, trees and other obstructions, but the XT50 is built for simple, dependable short-range communication.

The XT50 offers 24 PMR446 channels, made up of 8 standard channels plus 16 pre-programmed channels. It also includes 38 CTCSS tones, helping groups use matching channel and tone settings to reduce unwanted interruptions from other nearby users.

Useful everyday features include VOX hands-free operation with 3 sensitivity levels, a scan function for checking active channels, monitor function for weak signals, keypad lock, call alert, roger beep and an alphanumeric LCD display. The radios can be powered by the supplied rechargeable battery packs or by 3 x AAA batteries, giving flexibility when travelling.
